Aliens in Antarctica – Part Two
Rumors of strange activities in Antarctica seem to commence with the diaries of Admiral E Bird just after World War II.
According to reports, Admiral Byrd led a voyage to Antarctica under the name of Operation Highjump. The force consisted of almost 5,000 men & numerous ships & planes and occurred in 1947-1948. It was a secretive mission in response to US military concerns that the German military was functioning in Antarctica.
Word from witnesses claimed that the expedition encountered a force of advanced flying craft which decimated some of their forces. When interviewed on Chilean TV afterward, Byrd allegedly warned that there were aircraft that could “fly from pole to pole” in a matter of minutes.
However, there is no credible evidence that such opposition was encountered. At least none that I can find.
On July 8, 1965, Scientists at Argentine, British, and Chilean Antarctic bases reported an unusual celestial body hovering on the horizon and sending their geomagnetic instruments haywire.
A British station reported the object was yellowish-red varying to green, and zigzagged about the horizon for about ten minutes.
Their observations were confirmed by Argentine and Chilean scientists the following day.
The Chilean Air Force Command reported the object had been seen twice in a fortnight.

In February 2024, a strange object that some internet Google Map users are describing as an extraterrestrial craft, can be spotted on Two Hummock Island, a six-mile-wide island with two mountains, Bauche Peak and Modev Peak.
The object has a domed top and wide rim and appears to be metallic in composition and is positioned on its side.
The location is near to where Eric Hecker, a former Navy and contractor for Raytheon, a major U.S. defense contractor, observed strange activity. His position as a firefighter and plumber for the South Pole facility gave him unrestricted access to the compound. During his stay, Eric Hecker allegedly observed highly advanced energy weapons and other technologies beyond what he previously thought possible. He has also testified to congress under oath.
Summary
It is incredibly difficult to obtain hard evidence of any strange or alien activity in Antarctica. There will always be some who champion the possibility, but the remoteness of the continent and its relatively hostile climate do not lend themselves to easy study, that is feet on ground investigation.
In addition, it is a continent of several national bases; bases that do not always talk to each other.
If we are limited to single eyewitness accounts or Google Map checks, evidence will be hard to come by.
But if you were an extra-terrestrial race or even a human one, the place is an obvious zone to conduct secretive research and advanced technology investigations – provided you could overcome what the climate throws at you.
